NCERT Solutions Class 11 Computer Science – Functions

Some of the built-in functions such as main(), printf() we come across in C language. To use a function, write its name, followed by the argument. The argument should be written in parentheses (). They are named differently in different programming languages. Example, functions, procedures, methods, subroutines, etc.

When we use multiple arguments in a function, it is important to separate them with commas. Example: Print three numbers

x = 4

print (x, x + x  , x * x)

 

Some functions:

  • ceil (x) function – to return the ceiling of x as a float. Smallest integer value
  • floor (x) function – to return the floor of x as a float. Largest integer value
